How does an independent private school education pay off?

Each spring at Pulaski Academy, members of the senior class participate in a Signing Day ceremony in which they sign letters of intent to their college of choice. On May 5, the Hugg Gym was filled with pennants representing the colleges this group would soon be attending.

In front of their parents and underclassmen, they made their commitments while college counselor Cheryl Watts shared their collective, note-worthy achievements.
  • 100% of the Class of 2017 is attending a 4-year institution in the fall
  • 102 seniors have been accepted to 167 different colleges
  • 167 different colleges span 40 states, the District of Columbia, and 1 foreign country
  • 55 seniors are attending 8 different in-state schools
  • 47 seniors are attending 42 colleges in 22 other states, the District of Columbia, and Germany
  • The Class of 2017 has been offered $19,152,560 in scholarships

Signing Day is the culmination of Pulaski Academy’s college preparatory experience and the beginning of many exciting opportunities as these seniors enter college. Each senior’s college selection marks the first of many life-changing decisions as they mature into young adults.

We are proud to recognize the Class of 2017 in this tradition that demonstrates a dedication to their studies, commitment to their community, and determination to achieve.
